Electric Strikes work in conjunction with electronic readers, i.e. proximity card, key fob, biometric readers etc. These electric strikes come in a variety of sizes and styles. Unlike Magnetic Locks, this system will allow for a mechanical over ride or Key Bypass.
Control Access
Electric Strikes are the heart of Access Control. These are the actual devises used to secure or “lock” a door. The way they work is that they are in the lock position and when tripped they unlock and allow the door to open.

Electric Strikes are designed for constant use. These are very tough and hold up quite well.
Fire Codes
Electric Strikes are looked upon favorably with fire codes, because they do not lock the occupant in side. They only lock people out if installed properly.
